Hi, I want to be creative this valentine's day.?

I want to do something creative.Iam not married but Iam engaged. I dont want to spend much money as he does not like it. No clothes, perfumes, shoes, accessories. Something different.

Hi, I want to be creative this valentine's day.?
First of all, I am very happy for you that you have successfully sustained your relationship this far, as most people don't. From my 13-year marriage relationship, I can tell you that, as the relationship gets longer, there's a tendency to fall into a rut, as you have already tried so many gift-giving ideas. And material gifts do get boring down the road. Even candle-light dinner for every year can get old. It's really the little, daily sensitive and thoughtful gestures that are the most romantic. So the keys to keep that fire going are creativity and a sense of surprise. Here are some of the things my husband and I have done for and with each other over the years:

1. If you live in a snowy climate, surprise him by wiping the snow and scraping the ice off his car windshields during winter on some sub-zero temperature mornings.

2. Write ballooned love-messages on his favorite Sunday comic strips and let him discover them. Or put them in his cereal box for him to find.

3. Write little love notes and dropped them in his car for him to find. "I first fell in love with you when...."

4. Slip love notes between his dollar-bills in his wallet.

5. The most hilarious one: Worked OT and saved up the $ for a gold necklace with a pendant that matches with my Chinese Zodiac sign, as we are the same sign. Then wrapped it in another box and another box and another box (from small to large TV-box size), making him think it was some kind of electronic device, yet the box was so light, he could not guess what it was.

6. Treat him out to dinner. When dining in a Chinese restaurant, slip a handwritten message into his Fortune Cookie to tell him about upcoming "surprises" when you get home. Or in other restaurants, slip him YOUR "bill"----such as Salad = 1 kiss, Entree = 10 kisses, and Dessert = (whatever else you have in mind for "activities" later)....Tips = (more stuff you have in mind) This will drive him wild with anticipation.

7. After driving his car, return the radio to his favorite station.

8. Buy him a lottery ticket, with a message "You are one in a million."

9. Watch shooting stars together.

10. Watch the stars appear together.

11. Watch the snow-fall together. Save the $ to go somewhere that does have snow so you can stay in together to enjoy hot chocolate and "indoor activities."

12. Place a love note in the local newspaper Classified Cars section in the Sunday paper he always reads.

13. Get a glass jar and fill it with special love notes for encouragement throughout the year:

----once-a-week for a year, jot down 2 reasons you love him

----once-a week for a year, jot down 1 great thing he did or said

----once-a-week, jot down 1 inspirational or positive thought

14. Love should be timeless: For 1 weekend, cover up all the clocks in the house and stay in to enjoy time together.

15. Send him a Valentine card postmarked from a romantic city:

---Valentine, Texas 79854

---Valentine, Nebraska 69201

---Loveland, Colorado 80537

---Loveland, Ohio 45140

---Loving, New Mexico 88256

---Bridal Veil, Oregon 97010

---Kissimmee, Florida 32741

16. Take an old prescription bottle, fill it with teeny-tiny love messages of "Prescription for Love."

17. Write funny messages in the margins of his favorite magazine.

18. Have a picnic at night----during a meteor shower.

19. Slip love notes into several CD cases in his collection and let him find them.

20. Right when he's about to run errands, put a card or love note on his seat.

21. Ever since I heard the song "Love, Me" by Collin Ray, I have changed my signing to "Love, Me" on all the cards and notes for him. Try signing something creative other than "Love," or "With Love," or "Love Always."

22. Throughout the day, 3 times a day, stop whatever you're doing and think of him and smile.

23. During the week(s) he has to work OT, shower him with a meal in bed on his off-day and then be creative with "dessert," such as give him a bath or a massage.

24. Create a "Romantic Idea" jar together and have each person contribute ideas into it. Throughout the year, once-a-week, each person take turns taking one out and do whatever it says for the other person.

25. Learn star-folding origami (instruction link):

http://www.dltk-kids.com/world/japan/mor...

Fold 1 star for every day you have known each other since the day you met. Each person take turns folding one each day.

26. Buy him a "Romance Coupon Book" from your local bookstore, with which he can use throughout the year to redeem from you for whatever the coupon says.

27. Cook a meal at home together and get him a bottle of vintage wine from his birth year.

28. Take him to his favorite bar, but no Hooters, of course. Play pool and watch a game of his favorite sport together. Cheer for his favorite team. Play some of his favorite music from the juke box----if the bar has one. After a juke box plays one song after another, he might not immediately know that you did it, but he WILL notice the difference in music.

29. Get a local artist to draw caricatures of both of you on some eggs and place them in the fridge for him to find in surprise. Or you could just jot some thank-you messages (ballooned-comic-strip-way) on some eggs for the things he does for you throughout the year and strategically slip them into his fridge to surprise him.

30. If he has a CD collection, buy some CDs to complete his favorite collection.

31. Fill his fridge with his favorite beer, ice cream, or whatever other favorite snacks on top of the fridge.

32. While you're out, have a friend deliver a gourmet dinner to your home----instead of the usual restaurant take-out or delivery.

33. Use body paints together.

34. Use the little strips of paper from Hersheys Kisses as coupons redeemable for 1 kiss each.

35. Sign your letters and love notes "Forever and a day."

36. Keep mistletoe in your home year-round.

37. While attending a wedding, whisper the vows to each other.

38. Leave written clues that lead him to a restaurant where you will be waiting for him.

39. Send each other greeting cards, postcards, and/or love letters. Surprise him at work by sending a piece of lingerie in an envelope.

40. Get him a favorite toy from his childhood.

41. Hide a love note in his gym bag.

42. Surprise him with tickets to his favorite sports event.

43. Hide a greeting card under his pillow.

44. If you are not living together yet, give him a key to your home, with a message "You have the key to my heart."
Reply:Why don't you and your partner have a romantic dinner at home.

With lights off and a candle-lit table.

And put rose petals all over the table

And dim red lights =]

And some juicy dinner...like lamb or chicken.

Potatoes..salads..wine..music..

Hope I've helped =]
Reply:You could check out the website - http://www.ExpressionPrints.com - it allows you to upload a photo of your own or use one from their gallery. Then you can add text such as a personal message or love poem on top of the image and it even allows you to apply effects to the photo. Nice site to create a really personalized photo gift for someone special in your life.
Reply:Draw hearts tattoos all over your body in red pen. Cheap. Can be cute. Get a friend to help with some of the hard to reach places.
Reply:A scrap book filled with pictures of you and your loved one. Beneath each pix, you can write witty, or loving comments!

Have fun!
Reply:take your partner to a karaoke bar and sing them a love song then go home and make an evening alone by the fireplace or candle light the memory of a life time.
