Can anyone suggest a theme for a charity store's christmas window?

The store sells donated clothes, shoes, accessories, books music and bric-a-brac, as well as new gifts and cards

Can anyone suggest a theme for a charity store's christmas window?
Try a modern slant on the christmas story - as mentioned above, or perhaps a pantomine theme (pick the one that matches the donated clothes the best)?
Reply:White Winter Wounderland

Think fairytale, lights and fake snow all the way round the window
Reply:show eves, father christmas etc... giving to each other, remind people what christmas is all about, hmm a well dress person giving to a not well dress person and showing an big smile on both of thier faces
Reply:lots of dolls and teddies dressed as angels or just with wings on..... set on strings to look like they,re flying!
Reply:how bout glitter and have everything all glittery that would be nice :)
Reply:the nativity, after all isnt that what christmas is about
Reply:Easy! Theme is Help the lonely stranger, homebound elderly, children living in poverty and do it not revealing your identity! Every Christmas season needs fairy godmothers or godfathers to make our season bright. Pick up a used good coat or shoes from the local thrift store. polish them and clean them up, sew on a new button and deliver to someone, even a teenager with poor parents, would appreciate this act of selfless giving. Books of happy stories is always an awesome gift too. The repayment is that when their life in the future gives them abundance, they will think of the stranger who hasn't warm clothes or looks hungry and give them some food or adequate shoes and something to keep them warm. I believe in divine providence and the reward to all the generousity is that God saw this and will remember you someday when you need it the most. Many Blessings
Reply:i think a winter wonderland too because cotton wool is cheap and you can use ornaments and stuff from the shop
Reply:snowmen and fake snow
Reply:Be controversial how about a Nativity Scene
Reply:All red and gold objects in window christmas with a cosy snow scene.
Reply:the theme is Christmas !
Reply:Corny, but what about the Nativity scene with a modern slant?

How big is the window?

Could you get a big store to donate or lend some tailor's dummies?

Brilliant question and I hope whatever you do attracts lots of custom.

Good luck and Happy Christmas....a bit early I know...
Reply:Here is a novelty for you. What about a theme about the real story of Christmas. You know the birth of Jesus and the wise men and shepherds etc. You could even move it on to Herod and the slaughter of young boys. Or is this not what it is all about. Oh yes it's about Robins and coaches and snow.
Reply:try to remember that the first Christmas consisted of people who were by no means rich. Not having money is not necessarily a bad thing..focus on what Christmas is really about and forget the Santa thing. Try dressing Mary.Joseph etc. in clothes from your store.
Reply:Christmas hats!
