$200 for half the year of my highschool wardrobe!?

ok. so my parents are being really unfair and I have $200 to spend on my clothes for half the year of highschool (september -january!) so how many shirts,jeans,shorts, shoes, accessories should I buy? I have to spread all of this out! AAAAH! help! I need cheap stores too. I love wetseal, rue 21, and forever 21 but i don't know if i can do this! I am starting highschool next year and I am currently in a private school so I've never had to worry about how I dress ( i wear a uniform). PLEASE HELP!

Well, it is really a question of how many CAN you buy with your budget, which won't go far. You need a decent pair of jeans and a decent pair of pants, preferably black, that you can dress up. A turtleneck sweater and a v neck, one in a bright color and the other in black. Pair of flat boots and a pair of kitten heel dressier shoes. Camisole and a few tops from a place like Charlotte Russe that are youthful and fun. A jacket that you love. A skirt about knee length to wear to dress up and have fun it. Denim miniskirt, but not too short. Fun belt, and if you can fit it in, a plain knee length dress that you can dress up or down with accessories.
Reply:you need to buy less of the more expensive items, like pants, and more of the inexpensive... tank tops, etc. don't be afraid of getting simpler clothes (like tank tops, plain jeans) at cheap stores like wal-mart - then you have more money to spend on more expensive clothes that stand out. accessorize to mix up your outfits! look out for 2 for 1 deals, and also buy things right after they've gone out of season. get as little as possible at the beginning of school, and buy more when the stores start stocking winter stuff and put fall stuff on cheap. MOST IMPORTANTLY: buy stuff that isn't overly trend, so you can wear it again the next year. that way, you won't have to start from scratch again next fall. good luck!

Reply:Forever 21 is pretty inexpensive. And ask for stuff at Christmas time. And just get a job!!!
