What colour makeup and accessories should i wear with the gold backless dress?

Hi guys! i need some help. I am going on a xmas nite out in the town with the girls %26amp; decided to wear my gold backless dress. The thing is I do not know what colur make up would go with it %26amp; what accessories to wear. I dont want to look too gold! I was thinking what about gold and black. My dress is backless %26amp; also low cowl neck so it opens at the front (you need tit tape to cover the bits) I was going to sew a chain from the top of the sleeves/ shoulders so the pendant will hang down from the back, with black shoes, black handbag %26amp; black shimmer belt. Now folks what would that look like?

What colour makeup and accessories should i wear with the gold backless dress?
I'd say, black velvet would tame the shine of gold. If you have something made of black velvet like a purce or a shawl that goes well with it, you might consider it. Depending on your looks, you might consider dark green or dark brown velvet instead.
Reply:I would do smokey eye's.
Reply:I would do a matte finish on your skin, so you don't look like you are reflecting. A dark smoky eye depending on the color of your eye would would look nice and sophisticated.
Reply:I guess it would look fine if that's the look your going for.

Keep your makeup subtle with big glossy lips. You don't want your makeup to battle your daring dress. That's enough attention on its own. I like the pendant idea.
Reply:red or black, long earrings w ur hair up, It's not too much and very trendy
Reply:sounds very nice
Reply:The black shoes seems like a bit of contrast, but I understand with not wanting to be "too gold". I think you should do some dangling earrings, with a nice updo/ pin up. I think a festive splash of RED on the lips (try Viva Glam! by MAC) and a sweep of a pale gold shimmer on the crease of the eyes would be a knockout. I would do a black, powder (think soft) liner so the gold will pop. Don't be afraid of that red lipstick! All women can wear red lipstick....find the right shade (although Viva Glam works for ALL ethnicities...it really does)!

Good Luck! You'll be beautiful, have fun and be safe!!
Reply:I would have gold shimmer eyeshadow and a gold style lipstick - such as a glazewear by avon. They also do a good range of bronze and gold colours.
Reply:that sounds lovely mate-go for it.

dark eyes with maybe a gold shimmer over the top.superdrug do one if your in uk.go for a natural lippy and some bronzed cheeks
Reply:The more natural the makeup you use and the less jewelry/accessories you use, the classier you will look. The question is, do you want to look classy?
Reply:Black sounds good.

But I would rather go with deep brown on shoes and everything. Like brown pumps, a nice brown bag, and a belt in brown with golden shimmer or glitter. You don't need that much jewelry with all those accesories and all the gold. It will be too much. Rather put the hair up in a loose updo with a headband(brown or gold), or just wear some cute earrings and curls/waves in half-updo.

For the makeup, light smokey eyes is fine, but that could also be too much in the end. Maybe just a classic makeup, natural on the eyes, just mascara and a little shimmer or eyeliner. And rather concentrate on the lips. Use a shade in red that suits you, and use highlighter on cheekbones and on below the eyebrows(not one with too much glitter). On the nails, a natural shade is fine, like light pink or peach, but even better is just to do a manicure. ,
Reply:I think definitely black would be good, as it would tone down the gold so you wouldn't look gaudy.

Silver accessories might work as well, especially combined with black.
Reply:some black eyeliner, and mascara. pink blush. cream or neutral eye powder. reddish lipstick. nothing to crazy.

then, if you have some jewerly that is nice looking but on a black cord or something like that, it would be better than gold-a-rama necklace. or simple diamond earrings. a thin gold chain would work too, with a trinket on it. a dangly thing. yep
Reply:nothing you have got me going you do not need it your sexy enough
Reply:For makeup, I recommend a smoky eye with a very slight amount of gold eyeliner around the edges. Use a rosy blush and just do a simple glossy lip so that you don't overdo your makeup. For earrings I think you should g with big black diamond hoops. I used to own a pair that my mom bought for me in Prague, and they are STUNNING! Make sure that the hoops aren't door-knocker larger otherwise they'll take away the potential classiness of the outfit. You should get black ankle boots or black strappy shoes with gold embellishments to top off the look.
