What accessories should i wear with my gold dress?

im going to attend a ball next week where the theme is old school hollywood. i bought a gold dress for it, which is knee length, tight at the top and kind of flowy at the bottom.





anyways im not sure what colour/type of accessories to wear with the dress in terms of jewelery. im going to go with a black clutch and black shoes, but i was wondering what i should do with earrings/necklace/bracelets etc. btw i have black hair so i do want something that contrasts a bit.





ALSO i was wondering if a gold corsage would be fitting with the theme? alot of people are wearing long gloves, however i know this wouldnt suit my dress...

Wear minimal earrings. Like diamond studs. Your dress is gold so that should standout on its own. The gold corsage might be a bit much. Try a cream one over a black satin or lace ribbon to match the clutch %26amp; shoes.

Reply:I would say red. Red goes excellent with gold, AND black. It would suit you very nicely. Do not go silver. It would take away from the gold.





neclace- So, maybe a long gold chain with a big fat diamond shaped ruby. (does not have to be real!!!)





Corsage-I wouldn't wear a gold corsage, it would blend in with the dress, thus taking away the poing. A black one would be nice with little crystal drops on it.

Reply:uhh.its hard to really say without seeing the dress. maybe post a pic. is it satiny or sequenced? light or dark gold? how are you doning your hair? if up i would would do either gold chandelier earings, or diamond earings with gold backing. if your hair is down.... see it really depends on the shape of the dress as well. is the top straight across or low cut? keep it simple though with what ever you choose since your wearing gold. the dress is your statment not your accessories.
Reply:if this were me....i would forget about a necklace unless you have a tube top or strapless dress.....otherwise....get some very gody, flashy, long gold earrings..and maybe two nice gold bangles always on the left hand...that would do the trick!
