60s outfit?

in a few weeks my school is having a decade day. im doing the 60s


but i need help finding an outfit.


no skirts, tank tops, shorts, dresses, hats allowed


i need detailed description of what to wear.


top, shoes, accessories.


i have jeans picked out


it would be nice to have pictures to look at too.

60s outfit?
In the 60's the women were hippies so a cute outfit would be:


- a nice tye dye shirt


- a tye dye bandana


- a peace neacklace


- flat boots

Reply:Get some jeans, bell bottoms preferred, and put patches on the like a peace sign and get a tie dyed tee. Also beads around your neck and little round colored sunglasses.





Makeup should be little to none for the natural look and hair long and straight if possible.
Reply:Unless you want to be a hippie in bellbottoms, you can't do an accurate 60's look if you can't wear skirt or a dress since that was basically all women wore back then.

Reply:Wow, this is going to be hard. The 60s had 3 very distinct styles. The Jackie Kennedy look, the hippie look, and the Mod look. Except for the hippie look, dresses and skirts were worn. Clothing was fun and outrageous. You might be able to do Mod.





You will need patterned tights or stockings, kneehigh boots, and a miniskirt or babydoll style dress. The hair should be teased to give it height and should be as straight as possible.


The eye makeup was heavy, cat's eye liner and big lashes a la Twiggy
